When you get treatment as an inpatient at an alcohol rehab center you may need to stay for 30 to 90 days to get fully recovered. You may need to stay even longer depending on your progress and condition.

When you first arrive at your rehab facility you will be assessed by a professional and you will also have a medical examination. They will be able to create a personalized treatment plan for you and will help you to detoxify. As with withdrawal from different drugs your body will need to gradually get back to normal and an abrupt withdrawal from alcohol can be dangerous and even life-threatening. You may need to take detox medications such as Valium or Librium in order to safely help you to withdraw from alcohol.
